The distinguished Byzantine characteristics in her work can be traced to ancient Egypt and Greece, while her use of colorful stones reflects the brilliance of nature surrounding her: Aquamarine represents the sea and the sky, Citrine and Rutilated stones evoke the sandy beaches, and Carnelian depicts the warm sun.
